I'm trying to clear some space in my garage and have a boxed project that I've been meaning to work on for some time, but never got further than stripping the bike down into boxes and ordering some of the replacement parts.
It is a DT50MX
I have 2 frames, one has a tax disk showing the old reg no, but neither frame has a V5
1 complete engine whole & the majority of an engine in pieces, the whole engine was running last time I tried, but that was a few years ago, I beleive the engine in pieces is not quite complete and would need some work to get it running again. There is 1 complete carb between the 2 engines and a carb with some damage to the main body where the choke mechanism fits (thanks to the people I bought the original bike from)
I initially bought a running field bike as a project for my son to learn to ride on, but wanted to tidy it up so stripped it down with the intention of getting the frame parts powdercoated & the bodywork resprayed, I then realised that I needed some spares like the carb and ended up buying the 2nd frame and various other parts (about 2/3rds of a complete bike) including the carb on ebay, this is the frame which has a tax disk with the reg no. The project never got any further than stripping it down, so no repainting has been done, it is literally 1 & 2/3 bike in boxes.
I beleive that between all the boxed parts there is a complete bike including some new parts such as bearings & ignition switch, the only think I think is missing will be the battery, then the remaining parts would make the majority of a second bike or a very comprehensive range of spares.
I'll try to sort out a list of all the parts over the next few days (weather & shifts permitting)
I think I also have the Haynes manual too
