From Jens post in the other thread, We did miss you Jen as we didn`t see you turn off.
Steve (Pooh) also had to drop out at the 1st stop as the wire banding in his rear tyre was showing, hope you got hope OK Steve.
We picked up two replacements at lunch as Speighty and his Bro joined us,one day he will learn that runs start at the begining and not the half way point.
Great day and the weather held for us,thanks to John and his son along with the back markers(sweepers) for keeping us all on the same track.
There was 1 road that I hadn`t been on before which is a star inJohn`s book as I thought I had done them all over the years.
We cut out at the last stop as we were so close to home it didn`t make sense to ride 20 miles in the wrong direction only to travel another 50 home.
See you all soon on another run. ;D

I was having trouble changing gear (clutch not operating properly) as we rode through Youlgreave, so I held back & waved the markers past me at the end of the road which Flymo was marking, then I turned right and headed for the A6 when you all turned left.
Got to play on some of the busier twisties on the way home while not worrying so much about holding up the group if my bike let me down again.
Glad to hear the weather held off for you all, I got caught in a light shower on the way home, but not too bad considering how dark the sky went.
As I said in my other post, it was good to see everyone, I wish I'd been able to stay until lunchtime to get chance to catch up with those I missed, but there'll be another time.
I may be absent from runs for a while, I can't keep trying to ride a bike I don't trust, I've tried to fix it, but am pretty certain the clutch problem is a symptom of a more serious oil/coolant flow problem. I've been thinking about selling Tweety for a while now, and will be doing so as soon at my tempoprary contract is changed to a permanent one, in the meantime I might well be cycling to work & tidying up Tweety ready for sale.

Excellent day John and Andy a superb route indeed, many thanks for organising. Been to many places before but I don't recall Heathersage - loved the view across the valley from the road there! Stunning!
Great to see everyone again, and especially good to see Trev again (TJ63), it's been a while - love the Beemer! ;D

Thanks to John and Andy for putting together a great run. As has been said, we've seen most of the roads before, but you managed to put them together in a new order to create a really nice run for us all.
Glad you like the Beemer, Beebs. We love it!
Great to see many old faces again, and a couple of new ones too.
Hope to see you again soon.

John and myself landed back to the sunny Fylde Coast at 6.15pm. Thanks to John & Andy & back markers for a grand day out. I managed to make a mess of the route on the way home, ending up in Stockport then M60. Not for long though, John came to the rescue, leading us off the m60/M61 and over Belmont - brilliant.

At least we managed to get the first stint of the run before we had to head home. Shame we had to cut it short as the route was looking good. Good to see the usual reprobates on the run and thanks to Ian & Pat for the hospitality on Saturday, despite the lack of ketchup on Sunday morning Got back home fine, no issues. We stopped off at Wellesbourne and watched the resident Vulcan bomber taxi up and down the runway. Rather spectacular sight. I'm going to get a new set of boots on the bike this week. The set had done about 5,500 miles and were the origonal set on the bike from new so I don't know how they were treated for the first 2,000 miles. 5,000+ though for the amount of torque the rear has to handle in not too bad. This set has done a fair bit of motorway miles though so the centre got hammered. I'll try a set of Michelin PR3s rather than the Metzlers and see how they get on.

Yes nice run, well done. Fern and I had a great day and it didn't rain. But I did think you were going to lead us into some at one stage.
Again thanks for a great day

Hi All
Glad everyone had a good run but sorry Pooh & Doof had to cut it short. It was good to see everyone again and that our worries about the weather breaking up did not work out. We had a great day and thanks to Ian, Pat, Trev, & Sue for doing the sweepers jobs especially at Ashbourne as the junction onto the main road gave us cause for concern being a blind bend. Thanks guys, you handled it very well. Its always the icing on the cake when the run has no problems or mishaps and to know that everyone arrived home safe, so thanks everyone for joining us especially as the weather forcast was not what you might call wonderful.
Best regards to all, John & Andy.
