Does anyone have a recomendation for a helmet-mounted intercom system that operates bike-to-bike ( not rider-to-pillion ) so several hundred meter range?

Very clear bike to bike even with the flip helmet up. Range just over a mile (well tested at that sort of range) Bluetooth to phone,mp3 and sat nav as well as built in radio which is a little poor at keeping a radio station. Easy to fit and swap between helmets, little on the high price side but very good

Sena SMH-10
Just bought one for the ride out with the wife and will get another for my sons helmet too. Can have up to 4 paired at once. Will do Sat Nag, phonecalls etc no problemo.

I use Intaride www.intaride.com who you would find are very helpful. I went to there place in Redditch as I had bought a second hand Evo They set it all up over a cup of tea I bought some more bits while I was there & did not charge me for setting it up & gave me discount as well. when I wanted to change some sttings while abroud (low power (1/2watt to High 4watt) they talked me through it cos there was someone to speak to. They have a good range & we found them very clear at 80mph if you keep the mike close to your mouth as it has noise cancelling built in. you can give them a ring & discuss what you need but the web site is worth a look. It is stuff the forces use etc. If you do speak tell em Jona sent you please.

Not tried it with Rai yet Martin but according to the Yanks (yes they got it first) 500 meters is do-able. They reckon they have tried them and have had 800 meters on open roads. I'm looking at the SH-10 too so I can have my bike to bike linked in for group ride out's. Satnav is good and music from the phone is crystal clear. And you can advance tracks, adjust volume etc from the Sena unit. Must admit I am pleased with it so far. It means when I'm with Jacob I can still talk to him out of sight at garages, services etc without being hooked to the bike.

Thanks for the recommendations guys! I'm seeing what test-rides with kit I can get in at the moment and will let you know what I buy and how well it works after the peaks touring holiday at the end of the month
