Close. Its the Bonang Way. Goes from Delegate to Orbost. About 12 ks of dirt in two sections but it is good gravel (which turns most people off) but is much twistier than the Alpine Way or the Snowy Mountains Highway. I got into top gear about 5 times and the road is much narrower than the other two ways. The trees provide cover completely over the road for about 70% of the way. It is very scenic (if you get a chance to look at the scenery) and requires great concentration as debris and clumps of mud from logging trucks make life interesting Its a bit of a well kept secret but is a must do. I have done it quite a few times in the 4WD when it wasn't sealed to the same extent as it is now. After doing it we went to Lakes Entrance then back up to Orbost and on to Bombala by the Mt Imlay road then down to Eden through Cathcart and Pambula, again another must do if you haven't done it. ;D

Came back from WSBK last year on that road. Was absolutely shattered by the time we stopped for fuel at Bombala. Was chasing a Viffer and FZ1 all the way....no chance of staying with them. The logging trucks have no respect for other road users down there Any pics?

No pics unfortunately Greg. We were on a mission to get to Lakes Entrance and have beers, wine and dinner. The weather turned nasty, we were protected on the Bonang but once we got to the coast gale force winds gave us a hard time. We all had wives on the back of the bikes so we thought that discretion was the better part of valour and it was full bore to the motel and comfort for the better halves and piece of mind We had done 500ks that day and as you know it was hard work. The beers, wine, dinner and 18 year old single malt went done well after all that. ;D
