I have just booked my ferry crossings to and from Ireland for a tour in May. I am using the ferry from Cairnryan to Belfast, (2 hrs) on 18/5 @ 15.30, returning via Dun Laoghaire to Holyhead (2hrs) on 22/5 @ 13.15. Using Tesco club card points which are worth 3 times their value on Irish sea ferry crossings makes the ferry cost very attractive. I will stay Friday night near Coalisland and watch the NW200 road racing until mid afternoon Saturday before continuing to Westport area for b&b for the night. The next day will see me trave along the atlantic coast roads south to Tralee Bay area for another overnight b&b. Monday I cross eastwards to Waterford then follow the coast up to Bray for the final night b&b before taking the ferry back to Holyhead on Tuesday. Each leg of the route is approx' 200 miles per day, punctuated with a mid route stop or two for lunch and brews. I am about to finalise my b&b bookings. If anyone wishes to join me for thr tour get in touch asap, you are more than welcome. Total ferry costs are £113, or £35 using Tesco card vouchers.
