I've got these on my newly aquired N reg 600 Divvy. Has anyone got these on theirs ? Recommended ?
I'm after the correct tyre pressures for these please ? I've looked in the "Tyres" threads (via search) and their not listed. I've been on the Dunlop site and nothing recommended. On the tyres themselves, no recommended pressures - all it states is "Do not exceed 40 psi" Sorry to ask a simple question, but i can't find the info anywhere, and i realise that correct tyre pressures are highly important to the bikes handling. So your advice / recommendation on this would be most appreciated, and may even prevent me having a spill.
Thanks in advance guys. Cheers, Dale.

I seem to recall Pilgrim being an Arrowmax fan. I am indeed Bob. It's hard to break through the 'BT' wall put up by a lot of Divvy owners. The truth is I've not had BT's on mine and most others have not tried Dunlop Arrowmax so I can't say one is better than the other (neither can they ). I've had no complaints at all, not that I'm a sporty scrape the exhaust type in the dry, let alone the wet. The GT501s are cheaper than Bridgestones. I've had 8000 miles out of the rear tyre. I'll put a third set on mine without hesitation. HTH.

Virtually all today's road tyres should be 36psi front & 42psi rear.

Agreed, but it clearly states on my rear tyre - "Do not exceed 40 psi" Hence my question.

Pilgrim, What pressures are you using please ? So, Dunlops' own recommendations for the 600 Divvy aren't good enough? I'm glad I spent time looking for you........ CD, 36F42R is ok for the 900, but not the 600 or indeed a few other 600's like the SV........

No worries. Peace of mind matters a great deal on the bike - if you've got doubts over your tyres it can easily affect your riding.
Glad to help.

I'm sorry if I'm too continental but it's about time you all got rid of £.s.d! You've been away how long ? (I stopped using £SD years ago !) My Primary school days were in the £.s.d. era. I think 'metric' came in when I was at Grammar school and 1971 saw the introduction of a 50p piece, or there abouts. That's about as far as it's got. At least you've learned to count in tens now, hundreds are probably still a bit diffiult for some. Do you still talk of hundred-weights (not really decimal is it), timbers in inches (4 x 2 etc.) and a couple of pounds of sprouts? But you can't justify psi sirM40man in this 'high tech' age, shirley? OK, I've been away too long.............and I'm not coming back! ;D

Alright then, ain't it about time you continental types complied too and used Pascals as a standard unit of pressure? It was named after a flamin French Scientist after all. ;D

If you need to buy wood then take Martin or Trev with you.
Then you can show them a plank & get what you want ;D
Back OT I always liked Dunlops on my 900 & Fazer until I put roadsmarts on the Fazer & the back went off quicker thad the 208rr i had on before & that was a soft compound. Now have the new Maxis on it works well will see how long it lasts.

... But you can't justify psi sirM40man in this 'high tech' age, shirley? Well, whilst I don't really feel the need to, I think I can . The smaller the unit, the more accurate. The difference between 2.1 bar & 2.2 bar is greater than the difference between 36 & 37 PSI. Using the PSI gauge is therefore more accurate because all the bar meters I've seen only read to 1 decimal place. Plus: I know my pressures in PSI .

The guage doesn't know it's a PSI guage, that's just the graduations you read and yes a 0.1 difference in Bars is about 1.5 PSI. More serious is if the guage is reading correctly. I'm off to diffuse a tea bag in 200ml of water at 100°C adding 20ml of long life, half fat milk and 10 grams of sweetner. "Cuppa tea with milk and sugar" does sound better! ;D ;D ;D

Guy's - I was only after the bloomin tyre pressures. Not much chance of only getting the response you're after, on YDC .
