How many practices do you need? One on the 4th Dec. another on 18th Dec. Have you forgotten where to go already or will it spoil the surprise in 2012? ;D ;D ;D ;D

... If I was closer I'd certainly consider doing so. Sadly had to abort the run after around 90 minutes - roads too icy after the recent rain & last night's frost . I persevered in the hope that the bright sunlight would improve the roads, but it wasn't strong enough. At the start, the SERV boys & girls were having breakfast in advance of their toy run. I was invited along, but it's only a 10 minute ride to the JR in Oxford, on main roads. After waiting for the appointed time, & with no other runsters having turned-up, I kitted-up. All was going well until the wheels started to turn. Within a couple of miles I was avoiding frozen run-off water: ...... & once on the back roads, it was treacherous. Frozen puddles at the verges is OK, but the tarmac was so wet, the main surface was icy over long stretches. Back was skipping, front not so bad, but 20mph was going to mean a long wait for the loo stop: Shortly after the last pic, I was nearly wiped-out by a nutter going far too fast in the opposite direction, hogging the road. Round the next corner I learnt why: He'd hit another car, in front of me, & was booting it out of there presumably to make a claim-free escape . I stopped - the middle-aged woman in the car was OK, actually just lost a wing mirror. I asked her go ahead, as I couldn't ride above 20mph. As long as the rains stay, off the proper run will be fine - or if it rains, & there's not a heavy frost, it'll be fine. Today wasn't the day for a practice & I crawled home after less than 90 minutes of the run .

You're crackers , perhaps you should change the wording in your first paragraph from persevering to perversing Seriously though, well done for giving it a go even if rest of wannabes had more sense *typed on my iPad safe and warm in my closet
