The charger I use came with terminal leads from the battery that I clipped to the frame under the seat. Most convenient.

Yes my Accumate came supplied with leads for permanently fixing to the battery.
Makes it dead simple to connect, seat off, plug in and your done ;D

When my battery lost one cell I managed to jump start the bike by clipping the earth onto the engine and clipping the +ve onto a screwdriver to get a contact to the +ve terminal. I taped up the screwdriver to avoid any nasty shorts. The D9 battery box is a daft arrangement TBH.
I now have a charger connector under the seat so hopefully I can avoid the battery dying when bike is out of use.

First things I do with any bike are to fit a fused charger lead, decent headlight bulb(s) and crash bungs or bars. Or better still, buy a bike that's already so equipped!

I put engine bars on my 900 but when it fell off the stand and mashed the plastic I welded brackets to the frame and fitted crash bungs. Drastic maybe but they have since saved the bike when it did a repeat performance. Since I moved to a house with a smooth flat drive its tendancy to fall over seems to have stopped. The D9 cant take crash bungs on the engine top half.
