I bought a "cyclespirit" all in one textile suit for the daily commute . It came with a 2 year warranty on zips and leaks. I perviously had a Fieldsheer that had lasted 5 years of daily abuse. Well after just under 3 months I hit some rain and I was rather damp from chest to knees. So after some deliberation with GetGeared which at first they told me "you must have not done it up properly"!!!!! which right effed me off!! Anyway I gave it another chance and the same happened again. I complained again and said I wanted to send it back and recieve a refund. "oh well we can replace it like for like" I didnt want that I wanted my money back. Anyways 3 1/2 wks later and a few calls I finally got me money back.

"You sold me something - I've found out it's crap, and you're offering me another one?"
Why on earth do they try the "replace it like for like"? (it's better on their bottom line is the answer - they only give away cost price, not selling price)
Remember folks (like christhedivvy did) you are entitled to your money back - you don't have to take the offer of a replacement - either like for like or any other offer.

Yeah, and if you have problems getting your cash back ( like I did with a leather's company a few months ago.... ) and you paid with credit-card and the item was over £100, you can go to your credit card company, invoke the consumer credit act ( section 74 I think ) and demand they refund your money instead. They'll take it out on the seller later so you don't have to worry about it

Yes and believe me paypal are a another nightmare to deal with! am just a BLB, (Bad Luck Barsteward) Know what you mean, I cancelled my Paypal account over a year ago cause they kept screwing me around. Or at least I tried to cancel it, they wouldn't actually close the account so it's sitting there dormant.... even leaving them is a PITA

Ride magazine quoted the Rider Power figures for GetGeared as the number one mail order business even though they were only fourth for value and second for returns - 18% have had to return an item to GetGeared.
I wonder if everyone had the same problems getting their money back and who couldn't be bothered to try because it was difficult.

I've always found Busters and M&P to give good service, but I wasn't buying from them when the "temporary" owners were in charge.
