Brilliant day, i'd nearly forgot what a joy it is to share good roads, good weather (well mostly) and good conversation with Good people Thanks to El-B and Reaper for putting on yet another cracking run, with an interesting mix of roads, and 'things' mearly pretending to be roads ! Bec managed to drag herself along too, which made a nice change. Flymo

Thanks again to Paul for a great ride out,and to Dave and Roger for back marking.
Well done Dave on the new Diversion, only been riding 6 months and handled his first club run excellently.
Speighty you were right about the handlebar muffs, they pressed on the brake and clutch levers,so came off at the first stop.It only rained on the first stint though so I had nice warm dry hands.
Dave.

Dave. Im not just a pretty face... ;D ;D They can make them so they dont do that, if it had an inner bit like a small handguard. Tis a shame, cos muffs are a really practical solution. Glad you all got back safe, we came back the scenic route through Derbyshire and some of the roads were awefully slippy.- Have the photo's for posterity..... just in case you didnt get any Also have another Oatcake convert.... Tris was so impressed he bought enough packs to feed the family for several days !!

What Flymo said... Thanks to Dave & Paul for a great route with some interesting "Challenges" I know some of the roads we did today really well from visiting customers (we passed the front doors of 2) but I've never done them on the bike before, or strung them together in such an entertaining way. Thanks to other runsters for great comany and good banter. Good to see the old hands and make some new aquaintances. Tried my first fresh Oatcake today - well woth the early start. Hope you manage to get the "numberplate" fixed Dave
Home safe around 6:00 after 280 miles Apologies to John-e-faser for the wrong turn on the way home - at least we got to see some of the Cheshire countryside as well as Wales !

It was a superb run indeed, many thanks to Paul and Dave once again for putting on another fantastic route - and my bike felt awesome in comparison to last weekend, now it's wearing fresh D220's (thanks Bro)! ;D I escorted Dave back through Bridgnorth and left him just outside Stourbridge, shortly after he took the lead, and I split towards Bromsgrove. I could hear the screams from there as his knackers were being twisted off ;D Was really impressed with my number plate fix that I did, so glad I helped you out there Dave! Glad you were ok John!

Hi Guy,s A very WET start to my day, get bike out no rain, put gear on rain starts put wet gear on, set of rain stops road dry then wet it,s going to be one of those day,s. The run was a belter for most of the day I seemed to be on my own no one in front no one behind some great views and although we have done quite a few of the road,s before riding them in a different direction made the day for me. My P.A. took a tumble but as he is an expert rider he managed to save himself and the bike but did get mud on his bike,Dave hope your bike is not to bad and more important that you are ok. Nice to meet the new member and that he is from the northwest, hope the length of run was ok for you if you come on one of the pa and my run,s we do have more brew stop,s that reaper just likes to ride and ride and ride and ride etc. To Dave and Paul thank,s guy,s was a great route sorry I had to bail out at Denbigh got home 5 mins past 4, look forward to the next run if this dry weather holds maybe put somthing on up here. Paul.

Thanks to Reaper & EL_Bandito for organising a very enjoyable and fun day. We always have great routes and roads when Paul & Dave organise a YDC run, and yesterdays was no exception.
Hope to see you all on another YDC run before the end of the biking season.

Glad you all enjoyed the run. A big thanks to Dave for back marshal and help with the Tyre files for the day, I always forget to zoom in and check the points. Thanks to Roger for help marshalling as well. Nice to see a new face and a new Divvy 6 on the run. Glad to hear Big Dave made it home OK and I am sure the aches and pains will have kicked in by now, but at least you walked away. The start of the day was a bit wet and I was wondering if it was going to dry up or stay miserable all day, Loz was moaning like a good un all the way to Oswestry, NOT about the weather as such but that I was going to slow, I pointed out that 90% of the time there wasn`t another bike in my mirrors but she wasn`t having any of that. Women ya just can`t please em. After Oswestry the sun came out and all was good in the world of LOz. There was some considerable pee extracting 1st thing over a Z1400 with muffs, that seemed to disappear after a while. Bellow the usual suspects at the Oatcake Shop ready for the run start.
