Got home about 6:30 after 215 miles today.
Many, many thanks to everyone involved for the support, encouragement and advice received as well as for actually turning up in very variable weather. Special thanks to Gimrie for help with organising, back-marking and nursing duties. Thanks to all who attended last night - really enjoyed the meal and the banter
So what did we learn today ? a) Don't get into a fight with a bus when you're on a motorbike. (Hope you're OK Daryl - post up to let us know you're home safe and let me know if you need any help to recover the bike - I've got a van and a trailer in Prenton) b) When a marker leaves their spot , people get lost (fortunately all rounded up again) c) TDM's may be tough but they can't crush rocks (Did you get home safe Matt - without the tyre going down?) d) M40 Man is still "mad" - Amazingly quick in the wet and prepared to travel hundreds of miles in the early hours of the mornng to attend runs. e) The best of the weather usually comes at the end of the day - hope you all got home dry as well
Thanks to all for coming and making all the preparation worthwhile.

Thanks to Roger, Carol, Gaynor & Andy for putting on a really good selection of roads which I am sure are great in the dry .Also for the accommodation and taxis from Chez Imrie. To Martin, Chris, Steve and Roger for the company on the way home. Hope Father Ted is feeling better and bike recovered (or is that Father Ted is recovered and bike feeling better ). Another member of the hedgebusters club. Hope this does not put you off joining us again in the future. And to Tigger. Hope you got home OK. Good to see all our friends again

Got home at 7:10pm, not bad at all . Brilliant day today - so glad I annoyed the neighbours at 6:15 this morning as I set off ;D. It was nice to see everyone again - & to briefly meet FatherTed - Hope you're OK matey . Don't be disheartened, get well soon. Thank you Roger, Carol, Gaynor & Andy for the run, & to Mac for him stepping up for a bit of back-marking when needed. I took a few pics, not many. Will post them in the right spot when uploaded. Couldn't help but post this photo of the gorgeous & fragrant Debs here though, "almost" captured by Reaper when I was quite unaware he'd borrowed my camera :

Sorry guys. Made it back ok. Had to stop once for some air at Telford but it held up all the way home.
Thanks Roger for a good weekend. Well what I saw of it. Was a good night last night in the Chimneys. Today was promising to be a cracker then a couple of incidents and all plans change!
Hopefully I'll manage a full run at some point.
Take care guys
Matt

Hope to see you all soon.
Glad your injuries wern't serious Daryl - I was looking forward to having a yarn with you. Maybe next time.
