Me Garmin's threwn a wobbler !! Zumo 660 has "lost" all the tracks from the Yorks/Lincs weekend I just tried to upload them to the 'puter (along with this weekend's rides) and the unit has only apparently saved the last two days tracks and no others. Normally it will save every ride until deleted
The reason for chosing now to save them is that the headphone socket's stopped working and I thought I'd best save everything before investigating inside the unit.
Anyone come across either of these faults (lost data and no output to headphones socket) ?

My 660 always did exactly this, even from new. I could never get more than a few hundred miles of the history off of it before it deleted the routes.
It got sent back to Garmin when 11 months old as the internal speaker had also failed. Great customer service, they sent a "reconditioned" unit in its place. However, I found it was slow and clunky and on a tour of Span and France this June when only "weeks" old, it let me down again and again so the 660 went to a new owner and I have gone back to tom tom.
I consider that the new tom tom xxl at 125 quid is vastly better in terms of useabillity and functionallity. No you can't impress your mates by puttin git in the river at a camp site but it is in all other respects in a different league.

To be fair, these posts were made nearly 2 years ago and I, at least, have nw resolved my problems. The tracks were all there - just that I had to go looking for them in the file structure because the 'recent tracks' that upload automatically when I connect to the 'puter are only from the most recent 2 or 3 days The lack of audio was traced to water in the headphones' socket that comes ut from under the seat

Happy to hear your problem was resolved... Whereas my brand new 550 worked for all of two days then wouldn't start - went straight back for a refund!

Debs, Peter & I each have a 550 that have seen us through many UK & foreign tours without any trouble in some very inclement conditions at times.
Have now got a 660 and passed my old 550 to Adam. Will see if this was a good move.
