Many thanks to all who came out to play this weekend . Nice Saturday bimble , food, drink & pool at the Volunteer Saturday night , & a not entirely uneventful Sunday run . But thankfully only metal & plastics damaged I believe. If you see this Suz, I hope you got / get home & are not too sore . You must be gutted - 'twas indeed a shiny Ducati . Thank you to Billywhizz & Verde for stirling back-marker work today. Thank you to everyone for stopping whilst I fixed my puncture . See you all on the next one .

Thank you to Billywhizz & Verde for stirling back-marker work today. I know he means sterling. Don't be so sure it was M40man leading a run.

.... Don't be so sure it was M40man leading a run. If they grease my palms in order to buy a place back-marking, who am I to complain .

The AA finally picked up the bike at 5:30, and it will be at a Ducati dealers in the morning (hopefully).
Suz is fine, tweaked her wrist a bit but it's OK now.
That's quite enough excitement for one day, ta very much.
Oh, and thanks to Martin for a good run (while it lasted) and to all who stopped and helped and offered calming words of wisdom.

Thanks to martin for the run & as usual for one of his runs the impeccable weather Bob & wodge for back marking & coming to get me when I took a wrong turn. Eventful ride home stopped to take some pain killers & have a smoke to find bike won't start water in the immobiliser key fob. Dried it out & on my way again but chain sounded noisy no oil on it though I sprayed it yesterday & topped up snot oiler, snot oiler nearly empty but where had it gone? rad it up on the stand & found a hole in the pipe near the front of swinging arm luckily on the stand it dripped onto the chain so put it to prime & ran it in gear till empty nice oily chain again. Home safely 19 .35 just time for a wash & slice of bread & salami before my lift to the pub arrived. 386 miles for the day & a bit of work to do on the bike in the week. Neil

As had been said already - A good day out. A cracking breakfast to start the day and then some interesting roads. A bit of rain on the horizon so a timely stop for leg stretch and to pull on the waterproofs.
Onto the 2nd phase through more country roads when we met some rather sizable farm machinery - huge combine harverster and an almost as huge tractor.
We stopped for lunch and after the now obligatory battle with the bl**dy wasps who I think had about half of my sandwich Jan & I had to head back home so we split from the group and had a rather nice blatt back to the cottage.
Thanks to all for a good day out and look forward to the next one.

Yes good run well done Martin, even the made up bit at the end ;D Fern and I managed to cover 440 miles in the two days, we were quite glad to see the nearly sunny Fens. Thanks to Max for leading us home on a road I haven't been on since the late 70's on my trusty CB200. We both hope to see Suz soon on her Monster and don't worry it happens to the best of us Bob and Fern

Max shouldn't you be saying "spirited ride" that was my first choice of word but Chele, Fern and myself had to keep slowing down to wait for the old boy reminiscing at the back ;D
