Can anyone give me an idea of how these show their age?
I've had a silencer inlet pipe welded where it cracked at the can inlet weld. I've now got a middle header pipe blowing at the collector joint.
The headers all look good, there is minimal rust on the collector and the cans look good. Buts as things tend to fatigue crack and rot from the inside, I wonder what to expect in the not too distant future.
Thanks, D :-)

Your main weakspots will be the collector box and the neck of the silencers.
You can replace the collector with a stainless one for about £100.

Thanks, D :-) Had the same problem on mine, (with the silencer ends and the header pipes where they met the collector), took the silencers to a local blacksmith and had both of them cut off and replaced with stainless bits, about a month later noticed two of the header pipes were looking a bit tatty, took all of them off and headed for the local blackie again. About £60 worth all told and the jobs a god 'un. Trev
