I am having a busy week on my Divi. Travelling to work this AM , noticed my oil cooler pipe was leaking..again with the flange nut/jubilee clip loose, and unable to tighten it.....carried on them splurt ( off came the nut holding the hose) oil all over my leg and rear tyre, whilst riding..great!!! I replaced them in Oct: diversionclub.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=900&action=display&thread=9054So not very happy, I got them off ebay, maybe I got the wrong types. Can someone please recommend the proper nuts I should use on the oil cooler braded pipes, and the proper brazed pipe diameter, I need, incase I have got it all wrong and put the wrong type hose and nuts on them. Do I really need oil cooler pipes, I was thinking of just sealling the pipes up...ugh ! ( divi 52 reg) thanks Dxtans

Was the clip a bit too big? Have the worm threads stripped?

I think the nut /jubilee clip were stripped a bit, nee to get a proper nut thingy for this, that actually tightens against teh end oil cooler pipe bit . Anybody know which one.

Can't help, I'm afraid. But I know that Johnthebowman would appreciate knowing the final solution to this, 'cos his RHS pipe is leaking a lot!
........... what braided hose did you get? (Where from, size, etc).

This is from my FJ1200, but should work simmilary on the D9 I bought a 10 row cooler of ebay, that went ok, but I bought 1/2 inch fittings together with a metre length of 1/2 inch braided hose, which didnt fit the pipes to well, though it worked should of bought 5/8 hose and AN12 clamps, then it would look great, but it still looks ok as you can see the AN10 clips fit the top, but wont fit the bottom, i just used some shrink wrap to cover the cut braided hose and a stainless jubilee clip. all bought of ebay

D900 pipes use 10mm internal diameter braided hose and fixings as per HRH's pic above. The clips can work loose over time and start leaking again but you only need to retighten them.

HRH, would it not be possible to thread the top and bottom pipes so a nut and olive would suffice

well ordered a meter of hose. Wrapped the length I wanted cut with masking tape, then cut it using a hack-saw. Fitted on OK, no frizzing of the wire. . just used jubilee clips on both ends all seems good.

If the metal pipes can be taken off the bike you could solder a 6mm long copper sleeve over the end to act as a rib so the hose cant push off the pipe. BTW Penfold's cooler looks - erm cool. ;D Watch out the front wheel can't clout the new cooler on full bump..
