any info on using the rear footpeg as replacement for the front whilst I try to get replacement. It looks a different angle

It's fine as a get you home/temporary solution.
That's how we got "Oscar" home the other day. I did wedge part of a broken ABS car mirror casing found in the verge, in the gap between footpeg and the frame to get the angle just right....
That was just an added touch so it felt right for Jane and she'd have one less thing to have to worry about. A tie-wrap kept the piece of plastic in place.

ok update: scrappy laughed at me and didn't have one he did get a bit offended when I suggested taking one off the xjr 400 muttering " that bike for sale" LOL!
Local garage - no luck
Yamaha dealer 18 quid with no rubber but in stock. Oh dear.

still stuck screw was rounded but now worse feck any ideas or new rubber as I don't have a drill
