I am having trouble getting the mirrors on my fazer 1000 set all elbows and no directly behind rear view any one any ideas not involving operating on my arms.

May be worth a PM to Popsflynn, he got mirror extender blocks for his Fazer after having the same problem.
I know the problem you are having, especially since I fitted Renthal bars, I can see about half of my mirrors but often need to move elbows in.

Slightly OT, but what are Divvie 900s like when fitted with Fazer/R1 mirrors. I have Stadium type bar enders on mine but frame mounts look better.

Have just fitted mirror wideners made by SW-Motech got from Motohaus all fine I can see behind me now

I can still see elbows a bit but can see right behind me after trying on dual carrigeway or motorway I may find I can move them out a bit more.

Been out today in the sun 160 miles all sorts of roads a bit of vibration on mirrors but no worse than it was before excellent views to the rear
