Its done, some of you may be aware that my daughter came along as pillion on the OAP run a couple of weeks back and really had a good time with one small gripe that her hands were getting really cold. i suggested wearing thicker gloves but then she was not sure about been able to hold on alright so plan B it was. from this to this the symtec grip heater kit was first and carefully wrapped around the grips with the wires exiting towards the back of the bike, and cable tied near the end of the grip then took under the rear of the seat. The shape of the grip is not ideal for this but with care it does go (just), then approx 1M of 2.5cm wide webbing bought from a haberdashary shop is wrapped around each side tightly and a cable tie is used to ensure the ends don't come undone. Affter some thought and sitting in the pillion position myself i decided to mount the switch on the left Right hand underseat panel This can be reached quited easily by the pillion. Wiring wise the heaters are fed through an ignition switched realy so even if the switch is accidentally knocked hopefully i wont be suffering from a flat battery. tested them out for real this evening went to dudley to fetch my daughter we did the trip back in one, usually we stop about half way and she was really quite impressed, Flymo

Nice job Flymo, pillion hand warmers, who'd have thought? You'll be fitting a teasmaid to the D6 before long! ;D Trev
