Made my first attempt at balancing the carbs on my D6 yesterday. They are all balanced around 340mHg but the Haynes manual quotes around 270 mHg
Presumably that doesn't matter as long as they are roughly equal?

As long as they're all the same, don't worry.

you will probably see a difference due to different idle speeds, as G says, aslong as they are equal jobs a gooden

You get some cylinders working harder tha other, the bike can run lumpy and fuel economy / efficiency will suffer.

600s vibe at around 4,500 and should be smooth by 6,500. The 900s vibe at around 3500, but vibe again at 8500. Vibes could be a nuisance on the 600, but as I dont slog or thash the 900 there isnt usually an issue.
