Has anyone else got a Halfords digital tyre pressure gauge? And if so have you had an error message “0-“?
It happened to mine today, and I thought it probably meant the battery needed changing. So I switched it for another that I happened to have, but it still says “0-“ when I try to check a tyre.
So it could be that the gauge is knackered, or alternatively the battery I fitted is past its sell-by date. But before I buy another I’d like to be reasonably certain that that’s the problem. It’s a CR2032 3V button type, by the way.
Any thoughts?

Bob - I believe you can reset them. You can mine anyway. Look at the back, is there a small hole? Unwind a paper-clip and poke it in!

Teejay - It's only flat at the bottom!
HTH - Ta - I'll try that.

Well, I've tried everything, and got a few more different error codes, one of which I think means "I'm sh**ged."
Ah well, it's lasted about 4 years and been used on everything from mountain bikes to wheelbarrows (and the odd Yamaha) so can't complain.

Its not tyre pressure that makes wheelbarrows handle badly its wheel balance and bearings when you get above 40 mph if these are out you can get all sorts of problems.
Or am I thinking of TDMs & BMW GSs

Wheelbarrow handling is a tricky art to master, but the first rule is to get tyre pressures spot on. Too low can give a dangerous side-to-side weave, whereas too high results in an up-and-down bouncing motion on uneven ground. In order to meet health and safety risk assessments, the pressure should be adjusted for each change in load, and also when changing from push to pull operation.
My next-door neighbour, who has a large garden and owns no less than three identical barrows, knows none of this, as he is a retired mouse breeder. Inevitably this state of blissful ignorance results in frequent accidents and punctures, when he has to call on my superlative mechanical skills to get him back on the garden path again.
Which is probably why my tyre pressure gauge is knackered. But he does grow some very tasty vegetables.
