I've just fitted a new rear shock to the SV as the old one was on its way out.
I've set the spring compression according to the instructions and am happy with that bit, but it feels wooden, so need to adjust the rest.
It has that many different adjusters I can use that I don't know where to start. (you name it, its got an adjuster for it, lol)
When I go over a bump, the bump is fairly well absorbed, but there is no bounce whatsoever, its kind of like hitting a piece of thick foam.
Any advice would be welcomed

Sounds like you need to wind the damping off Jen. If the spring feels about right then it sounds like the damping is too high.

I've rechecked the spring settings lowered the damping settings a bit my problem is I have so many different bits I can tweak I'm not sure where to start, I have ride height (may need a tweak, feels rather low ), spring compression, damping, and hi and low speed adjustments for the gas cylinder, I'm used to just working with spring and damping if I'm that lucky. It feels better, but I know this can be set up so that its perfect, it should be able to it cost enough I'll try it out tomorrow, but I think it may be easier to take the bike to the man who knows and ask for help (Hi Reaper ;D) Doof
