I use good old Gunk for grease and last autumn's waxoyl and any old car shampoo for the paintwork. AutoGlym resin polish is great stuff.

Is this list still up to date generally? Looking for some cleaner for my divvy engine. Its ok but got some build up in really stuborn hard to reach areas.

Cillit Bang is acid based and works well on bare aluminium. Dont leave it for too long before rinsisng with lots of water. It also gets tarnish off stainless. Unfortunately its soon back again.

As a newbie, I would like to make a helpful contribution to this thread but unfortinately i seldom clean any bike i've ever owned,due to the facts below, A-i'm a lazy fat bast**d, b-i'd rather be riding (and drinking ale)than cleaning me bike,although i hasten to add not at the same time Beerbelly
