while i was seeing the different speeds for different years, 1997-1998 = 136.7 1999 = 125.5 2000 = 124.3 2001 = 127.4
so it looks like the earlier ones are faster (green) ;D ;D ;D
ALSO was the 2000 model CHAIN driven as the spec sheet suggests as i thought that all D9s were shaft driven ?

Pinch of salt with the different speeds, as for chain drive?, they were all shaft drive.

I don't think there were any engine mods from 1997 to 2001. There may have been something for emmisions which slowed it up in 1999.
I guess 1997-98 is Yamahas claims and the others are tested.
