General - developed an engine rattle help plz

Hi my 1996 diversion 900 has recently developed a strange engine noise although it hasnt seemed to affect the performance as such as it still pulls as normal up to high speed , but im lost as to how to find out what exactly is wrong as in is it exhaust blow , tappets, cam chain , as i cant actually narrow down where the noise is coming from any suggestions would be gratefully recieved

Could be loose baffles, take the end cans off and give them a shake, you wouldnt believe what fell out of mine

What he says, and while you're looking at the zorst system check the downpipes, they're double skinned, and the inners can come loose and rattle.

Or maybe the fairing is rattling
