I was wondering if anyone could give me a nice route around the lakes, I was thinking of something scenic with a few waterfalls defo including Aria falls.

Have just come back from the lakes ,I was in my car towing caravan this time . But I will def be making a solo trip on the divi. I intend leaving m6 at junction 37 onto A595 and 590 to the south and west lakes .There is very little traffic in the south and west and what look like great biking roads,the scenery is realy stunning .I would recomend some of the less known places such as Ulverston ,Millom and Ravenglass .Another plus the prices are a lot cheaper .

Aira Force is one of the most well known waterfalls in the Lakes and a nice one to visit. The road between Pooley Bridge and Glenridding is a good one (stopping off for the waterfall). You could go down the A592 Kirkstone Pass to Windermere from there, the views are lovely (weather permitting).
