Gaynor and Andy, Carol and I are pleased to announce the North Wales (ish) weekend to be held on 17th & 18th September 2011.
To consist of Saturday afternoon rideout; Saturday evening meal & drinkies; and Sunday rideout.
Based at Hooton, just off the M53 mid-Wirral motorway (J5), we'll meet for the Saturday afternoon ride and evening activities at The Chimneys (CH66 5ND) which has Real Ales and great food at reasonable prices. www.thechimneyshooton.co.uk/
Sunday's run will start from the Little Chef/Travelodge at Eastham (CH62 9AQ) - just the other side of the same motorway junction.
There are several options for accommodation nearby (all those below are 0.3 to 1.2 miles from The Chimneys)
Woodcote House Hotel, Hooton (0.3 miles) - an easy walk
www.woodcotehouse.co.uk
Travelodge Eastham (0.7 miles) - Also Sunday's start point but needs care when walking round the motorway interchange (there is a footpath)
www.travelodge.co.uk/hotels/info?hotelId=192&utm_source=google&utm_medium=maps&utm_campaign=Wirral%20Eastham
Premier Inn, Childer Thornton (0.7 miles) - now apparently fully booked !

Brook Meadow Hotel, Childer Thornton (1.1 miles)

Mercure Woodhey Hotel, Little Sutton (1.2 miles)
www.woodheyhouse-hotel-chester.com/
You are, of course entirely free to find alternative accommodation.
If anyone wants camping, PM me BEFORE the weekend and I'll try to help locate somewhere nearby.
SATURDAY
Meet at The Chimneys car park (CH66 5ND) just off M53 J5 towards Chester on A41 at 2:00pm for a gentle run to Ellesmere for High Tea at The Boathouse Restaurant ( www.shropshire.gov.uk/countryside.nsf/open/73ECA28CD3CE7ACE8025784000447EEC )
Feel free to meet us at The Boathouse if it's more convenient - but it would be handy to know you're coming so we don't leave without you!
Leave around 3:30 -4:00 for return to Hooton, check in to your chosen accommodation, and make your way to The Chimneys for Real Ale / Food in the evening.
SUNDAY
10:00 am - Meet at Little Chef/Travelodge Eastham for loo, coffee, chat and briefing ready to leave at 10:30
Run round N. Wales, generally anti-clockwise, to finish Shrewsbury / Telford area (A5/A49 junction - Dobbie's garden centre & services) for those heading East or South, and back towards Hooton for those going North.
We've used this Services as the start for a couple of runs in the past but, for the life of me, I can't find which ones - I THINK it was one of Beeb's, or could have been Reaper's, I'm not sure.
Exact routes are yet to be finalised but we'll post on here when we have them sorted in more detail.
