You need to set up the cones and carbs individually. When I used them on the Morini I didnt really notice much of a gain from them despite rejetting and tuning however fuel economy was nearly halved. The benifit may be a lot greater on a bigger engine.
On the d6 I use a K&N replacement filter which drops in the airbox in place of the standard one. Again maybe a little more top end but not a huge amount over a standard air filter. It has the advantage of being cleanable as I go through a couple of filters a year with the milage I do.

I've got a 95 divvy 600 and was wondering how easy it would be to set up. Al

It's been our experience over here across the pond that most people who went to those individual filter pods on the XJ600 had a lot of trouble getting their bikes in tune again. Usually went thru all the re-jetting but never did run as good as it did with the stock airbox. I've, personally, had good luck with the Uni foam filter in the stock airbox tho. Hope this helps.

I was gonna try the k&n replacement for the stock filter,retaining the airbox. I'll have a look at those other filters.
