Yes there will be <Edit>: Sat/Sun/Mon 27th-29th August. Late Bank Holiday. The run is going to start in Yellowbelly country on Saturday, work its way over the bridge into the more civilised land of the White Rose later in the day. The plan is to stop over in Beverley on both Saturday and Sunday night. Traditional Saturday night deliberations will take place in The Sun Inn with a 10am meet in the Market Square for a Sunday Run up to Goathland, across and through the Moors returning for the Sunday evening in Beverley. I could organise a group evening meal somewhere, or we could do our own thing for grub with a meet later in The White Horse, aka "Nellies". Monday, is still work in progress atm, possibly looking to finish early-mid afternoon towards the A1 etc slightly further south. How's that sound? If you want to stop over on a budget, the Beverley YHA is within pee-ing distance from The Sun Inn , a beautiful old Dominican Friary cited in the Canterbury Tales. The sign-up thread contains the list of accommodation. I'm sure members will be along soon to suggest their thoughts as to which ones are best/to be avoided.

Try the Beverly Arms Hotel. We stayed as a group booking and got good rates for Bed Breakfast and evening meal. nice place, close to market place with its own parking.
Just a thought.

Hush, you uncouth ruffian. Most runs organised 5 months in advance end up splitting into at least 3 different threads, running to numerous pages and ending up in all kinds of confusion............ I admit, I messed up by diverting off the diversion. It wasn't there 5 days earlier on the last minute recce! I just wanted to get out of the diversion traffic, it felt the right way to go..... but we ended up in Beirut, E. Hull. Then rapidly made a swift exit whilst looking for piano wire strung between lampposts.

I have a feeling that's the weekend my Sister is getting married ;D Is there some kind of joke there? not getting it myself Hi Stew I had two Sisters and a Sister in Law who all got married in a short space of time, all on weekends when there were club runs. I think people were suggesting they may be lame excuses - one of them was the Yorks run Hopefully wangle it this year though Dave

I'd be up for that at £14 a night its a steal Andy Might I be so bold as to suggest we start another thread on that? Y'know, just to get in the spirit of run threads......Book is now being kept on the sign-up sheet. Visited the Yha today, they suffered burst pipes during the winter and are just completing works to open in a couple of weeks. It's one of the old school type hostels, one male dorm (16 beds), one female dorm (abt 10 beds) and a smaller separate room with 5 beds. Breakfast available, as is a drying room is for wet kit. It's an old historic building and they're limited to what they can do with the rooms, where many other Yha's tend to be moving away from the large dorm style, they can't. It it has a certain character as a building though and the staff are friendly. The doors lock at 11pm, but there's a combination access available (as long as you promise not to disturb others when dropping spare change all over the wooden floors as you collapse into your bunk). But for the price....... it's a dry roof over your head If a few of you get together - you might be able to get in quick and book the 5 bunk room. Tel. 01482 881751 e-mail: beverleyfriary@yha.org.uk (Might be sporadic reception availability until they officially re-open)
Right, moving on..... The good news; particularly for Beebs armed with his supplies of "Pulling Shirts" is that it's Beverley Races that weekend so there'll be lots of top tottie around. The bad news? Accommodation's gonna get booked as the date closes. I'll keep looking for other options. See sign up sheet for accommodation list.

righty okey... YHA have eventually replied... £14.40 per person per night bed, plus £3pp for none members ! breakfast full english, at £4.95.. so total of £22.35pppn B&B..still not bad..
I have also just spoken to them, and the best way to book is to do it individually so as not to confuse people, or make 'one' of us responsible etc. so book away folks.... they are single sex dorms...all bunks !! so we may well be sharing with total strangers.. two dorms of 12+ beds, plus two rooms for 5 persons, still bunks. HTH
