Hi Can any one tell me if the clocks and lights off a 1998/99 XJ600N will be plug and play if i fit them to a 1993 xj600s or will i need to cut and shut the loom if so has any one done this as any help would be much appreciated many thanks jason

The wiring diagram is different for the early models (pre 600N). I think it will be difficult to adapt. Consideration also to ignition switch as they aren't the same! I didn't say impossible though........for an expert. There are also mounting considerations for clocks and instrument panel but biggest will be the headlamp mount which are bracketed onto the upper fork legs. Again, not impossible...... Expand on your project a bit more...........?

hi i want to fit n clocks and lights to my 600s i have the top and bottom yokes and mounting brackets and top yokes

Wiring may be the downfall. Do you have a Haynes manual to cross check the differences? I assume you have the clocks and headlamp (Angel poo to many!!!!!) so you'll have to see where the loom takes you. I doubt it's that simple though. Errr, good luck! Report back....

Hi well started it today at 1pm now done left original loom plugged in and matched color for color very easy to do the only problem is the forks are bigger on the n so had some collars made and tig welded into the yokes

Ps, the forks are bigger on the S and the N after 1997, when they switched to twin discs.
