I used 10W 40 semi-synthetic motorcycle oil, either Halfords own brand or Hein Gericke.

In the two D6's I had I used 10W-40 car oil. Nothing too fancy or expensive.

Same grade all year round.
.......... when I had my FJ1200 I dutifully swapped from 20W 50 in the Summer to 10W 40 in the Winter because that's what it said for the FJ1200.
D6 is 10W 40 all year. Same as most bikes.

Change of heart! Just been out on the 1000 after not riding it for 3 months. Have decided it's my bike of choice for the Jock Run, bloody fantastic fun . Very pleased with the new AngelST on the front too - only 50 miles on it so far, so it can only improve . .. stopped briefly at H Cafe - the shop nextdoor is still shuttered shut . Loads of bikes about today, including at the cafe.
