Hi all i am new to this forum and in need of some help with my 1986 xj600 pre divi. Any help would be great full I have this connector which goes nowhere and cant seem to find where it is supposed to go it comes from the bottom of the engine This wire comes from the main loom i thought it was a earth but not totally sure And this pipe comes from the right side of the engine if you sit on the bike (didn't know how to flip the pic) I got this bike as a project last week and am having trouble with these 3 things then hopefully i will be well away thanks

The first one - a three-pin plug is most likely to be the alternator? The second one - it's been bodged, that is not a standard Yamaha connector. Third one - that's a breather. Usually it would go into the airbox but since you don't have one, it goes nowhere. You can get mini pod-filters to put over them and stop and insects or mice climbing into your engine.

Thanks for that I'm getting somewhere at last. Do you think the second could be a earth or is there anyway to find out what it is i hate electrics and being colour blind its a thing i try not to mess with.

Looks like it has mini pods already fitted Is that second one not the solenoid live? Doubt it's an earth that colour, (it's red btw)
