so I went to change the front pads on 'shrek',couldn't get the caliper off the disc,a tad frustrating.
so i thought i would try bleeding the brakes to try and improve the stopping power and the bleed nipple snaps off in the caliper.it seems it was cross threaded and siezed!
So then I thought I would change the spark plugs, clean the air filter and the sump breather pipe.fairly straight forward, but no.I'm unable to get the vacuum line of the intake manifold without destroying the line.
arrggghhhh.'shrek' just keeps fighting me at every turn!!!
at least now I have the time to get a fuel filter and a new line ordered.any ideas where i could get a new line from?
I wonder what will go wrong next!

Take the lines with you (or a tiny bit of them, chopped off) so the guy can see what you're talking about & actually helps instead of saying 'oh, we don't do bits for bikes ....". Will likely have a suitable small fuel filter too, if you're lucky.

... if you haven't actually already knackered the vacuum pipe, use pliers to grip it where it goes over the stub & gently twist from side to side to break the seal. You may well get away with it .

I can sympathise on the whole nipple shearing and cross threaded issues. I recently rebuilt the brakes on mine, every bolt was seized and one sheered off which was a nightmare to get out. Felt like one defeat after another when really it was such a simple job in principle!
Was worth the agro though.
