Alternator output

Hi there,

I'm looking into making my own heated jacket but would like to know the alternator output as I've been lead to believe that it may be needed to know before hand.

Assumimg it's for the 600 then it's:

Pre 96 models output is 21 amps. For later models it's 20 amps (oddly) according to my trusty Haynes.
