1+2 aren't paired on coils. They are "down" when the bike is on the sidestand, so I wonder if it's possible dirt has settled in the carbs?
Nice project, I think it looks pretty good for a divvy.

Yeah that's normally the way with these bikes. If you have a spark on 1 and 2 then thats the HT side ok.
Next stop for me would be the carbs.

Thanks guys. I have cleaned out the carbs but noticed that most of the inlet rubbers are cracked so i have some on orderWhen they arrive i will re-do the carbs, maybe taking a bit more care this time.
Amorti - your right. I was going to get it running and flog it but i am growing to like it. Previous owner, my customer, still says it was running fine when i picked it up. Have my doubts about that.
Let you know the update, probably work on it over the week end.

Your both right it was the carbs. Although I do not think it was dirt. It was possibly that I did not have enough head of fuel to overcome the air lock in the dry carbs. I think this is the case because I managed to get it running on all 4 and now both 1 and 2 carbs are leaking fuel through the drains. I have stripped out the drain screws, blown out the seats and put them in tight. One of them had had a self tapper screwed into the darin outlet. No joy so i will now have to look for a pair of carb bowl covers or at worst a set of carbs to canabalise. Dont you just love bikes!!! ============================ Okay quick thought. When i turn off the fuel leaking stops. OPen the drain and there is still fuel in there. So it must be the overflow. Looks like it maybe the floats/ float valve at fault. Before i restrip the carbs i will get some new valves and give that a try.
