Hi im having a problem where i have to keep the reserver switch on constant reserve. Even when the tank is full of petrol if i prime it then switch to normal then after a mile or so it will splutter and cut out... Would this be something to do with the switch itself or the fuel filter.

Most likely the bit of pipe that sticks up into the tank is blocked. Take the tap assembly off (you'll need to take the tank off and drain it) and clean it out.

Might be worth changing the fuel filter while you're about. I had a fireblade where I had the carbs in bits 3 times before I decided to change the fuel filter. Didn't need to do it again after that.
