Can anybody help
I have a Pro7 sport Autocom system running a Kenwood 3201 for bike to bike and have just aquired a Zumo 400 GPS.
My problem is
If I run either the ZUMO or the Kenwood they work perfectly but when trying to run them both together i have problems. If i wire the Zumo to the AUX socket the Kenwood doesnt work at all and if I wire it to the music socket both work but I get a lot of interferance that sounds like the engin revving.
Anybody got any ideas on how to get them to play nicely.
Mark

Hi Mark, I believe you can get some sort of 'shielded' cable to help with interference issues.
Best place to try is Autocom themselves, from what I've heard they're very helpful in talking you through problems with their kit.

Or if like me you don't spend unless you have to try disconnecting the earth to the radio. Just have the positive connected and see if that works.

Sell you Autocom and look into Starcom. I've got 27MHz radio with a 1m whip and PPR446 kenwood 3201 radio with a Garmin 550 plus all the other gadgets and haven't had any problems. You can do want Flymo said a ground loop isolator which you can buy from Halfords for about a 10er, other than that look into how your equipment is grounded.

First of all check your earth for all items. They should not go directly to the battery but to a good earth on the frame instead. This should stop a lot of the alternator feedback into the system. Starcom also recommend you use a specific shielded splitter cable for connecting the Zumo mount to their device. You may need a similar cable for the Autocom.

Auto com is now owned by starcom. When I had a problem just disconect the earth on the radio and it earthed through the Evo unit. Jona
