Can anyone tell me what the differences are between 'sintered' and 'standard' and type GG and HH brake pads? The prices differ enormously too so what advantages are there for the more pricey parts? Singe front disc 600N, if you didn't know. Thanks in advance.

..... nothing for three days then three replies one behind another! I'll start then ............ sintered usually provide better (sharper) braking & I'd recommend them for the front brakes on just about any bike. .................. I hope Trev doesn't see this thread, or you can expect some feedback from him about the GG pads on the rear of my Fazer

Not sure about GG, does it stand for Going, Going gone ? Ps, happy now, you've had your three replies?

Kyoto's £10 pads are just fine for a 600 divvy, front and rear. Change to a half inch master if you want to improve a single-disc divvy's brakes, don't worry about the pads.

Goldfren HH are supposed to be rubbish. but I got 15000 miles from mine running Blue Spot calipers on standard D9 discs. When done they were evenly worn and showed no signs of breaking up.
