Is there anything in place, if any of the peeps has a accident during a club run?. I know that nobody has got my number or my next of Kin for that matter. Perhaps it don't matter if the police can use your bike registration details to make all the relevant calls.
Do any of you guys carry any form of ID with you e.g dog-tag or digital u-tag, or even a business card type thing. I personally don't carry anything with me.
Just thought i would ask in light of Fiasco mishap on club run.

A lot of the riders keep there personal details in the Left Hand top pocket of their jacket in case of emergencies. If you do have an incident make sure you don't give the keys to the Groovy Grove Scrap merchant

Put I.C.E. - "Name" as a stored number in your mobile phone. There was an ambulance authority campaign to adopt this some while back.
*I.C.E. - In Case of Emergency.

... Just thought i would ask in light of Fiasco mishap on club run. Like many others, I have my 'ICE' number in my phone. If you have a medical condition which requires particular consideration, then you will likely already have an ID notice on you. .............. actually, in the very light of the Fiasco 'mishap' , you can see how well the care of the rider, recovery of the vehicle, liaison with the on-scene emergency services all happened smoothly enough without being too anal about too many 'pre-flight' preparations . I believe you can expect pretty much the same on any of our runs.

Not in mine ... it puts numbers and other characters (like ! ) after letters. I have mine as ... aaa I C E ... so it is first in the list. Edit: that was in reply to Trev.

......... try not to confuse the emergency services with re-spellings of 'ICE'. If they check your phone they'll be looking for a number starting with the letter 'I'. Being at the top of your list isn't really very important .

to be honest I had 2 off's on the club runs and everyone that was there helped out . ;D i won't worry as most people on a run have everything sorted very quickly and contact whoever needs to be contacted . very helpful lot in the case of a accident or mishap . Dave

Don't worry about what happens after the accident But if you see Biker Dave in your mirrors, brace yourself cause you are probably about to have one ;D I called my wife to tell her I had broken my ankle and was waiting for an ambulance, then she got a call from Rowan to say I was being loaded into a helicopter, glad I wasnt on Rowan's end of that call !! The guys treated me brilliantly, none of this namby pamby sympathy stuff, just some good old fashioned biker banter, combined with a diagnosis from JTB !! Most ironic thing I remember is me telling Flymo to stay calm and keep it together while he was on the phone to 999 trying to pinpoint our location and give them a sit rep Martin went from a 9/10 to a 10/10 in my bonkers ratings when he went back into those conditions to collect my bike - after the sun had gone down ! You are in safe hands with the YDC Crew Dave
