There are a couple on here, Welcome to the Club. Where abouts are you and what do you think of the bike?
The general members of the Club have, or have had a Divvy in the past and enjoy the banter, chat and general biking knowledge base that exists in the group. The typical rider doesn't mind doing more than a few miles, often touring with luggage attached to their bikes.
Most use their bikes in all weather and all year round, often for commuting as well as for pleasure. Don't worry if you're bike is in the minority even if it is the latest version of our beloved Divvies - I'm sure you'll glean a great deal of valuable info from the site and we'll look forward to your input too.
All the best,
Neil (Beverley, East Yorkshire)

So it should be, it's hardly been out the garage since he got it, he's even resorted to letting other people ride it to achieve a reasonable mileage. Other people riding don't count Trev, How many miles YOU put on the Striple ?

I did a half day 'refresher course' on one from Ride On Glasgow and I though it was a great bike. It was the Naked version and had about 200mls on the clock.
Found it easy to ride, comfortable even with me being a 6footer+ and very flickable. Rev range seemed good and it was nimble through traffic.
Would love one but it would have to get a lovely CBR6 out of my head first !

My bro has one of the first alloy frame CBRs. You think and it changes speed, direction, gears, etc. Extremely well built and good on fuel too. Its also faster than a D9. The downside for me was the riding position and the way it eggs you on to ride it fast all the time. For me the D9 is the better bet.

Yeah, I'm riding one this year. Got it new in April and just had 6,000 mile service. Only using it to commute to work (c 400 miles per week) and occaisional weekend journeys. It's a little low on power for motorway riding compared to my GSX 750F, but much better through traffic in towns. Acceleration is good. Eaten a rear tyre already, but mostly because I've been too heavy on the rear brake.

My XJ6S is about three weeks old (it's a "new" 2009 model) and is just cooling down after a ride in the New Forest (Hampshire). It's a different beast to my old XJ600S - I've never tried to find another gear after going up the box so much as this . The suspension can get a little choppy on poor roads (are there any other type in Hampshire?) but it feels lovely and taught when flicking around on the (rare) smooth stuff. I'm still running in so I haven't gone mental but I can tell there is some power to be had in the upper rev ranges. As I waited at some lights in Southampton on the way home a kid on a push bike rode by and said "You have a nice bike mister". Nobody ever said that when I was on my old Divi! Graham. P.S. There's a picture of the beast in the "introduce yourself" thread elsewhere on this here site.

In fact going out again for a jolly later today around 6pm to Skegness just for a coffee. I have 40,000 on the clock now and it keeps going.

hey, I have an 09 XJ6 diversion and absolutely love this bike!!! i am looking to modify here and there, would like to put on a top box and perhaps panniers. Also would like to get rid of the cat box and put on a performance pipe on but dont want to loose the centre stand, choices and decisions!! Could do with a bit more grunt!! The only thing that gets me a little it the vibration of the odometer cover whilst riding at 3.5 to 4 rpm, but this goes after 4.5 rpm. It may just be my bike but have not taken it back to dealer yet to get fixed or ask about it. I agree a little with Grumbleweed about going through gears like a fat kid goes through cake, but I think once riden in you can play with the bike a little more and are not conscious of putting too much RPM through the bike. The other thing is..........wait there isnt another thing. I love this bike, great riding position, very easy ride, very forgiving, comfortable even with a pillion, and 130MPH is fast enough for me. I will be doing alot more mileage on mine before i think about a new bike!! over

I have a 10-plate XJ6 Diversion, lovely bike. To be fair, it's been my only bike since passing (trained on an ER5 and it's much nicer than that).
Very comfortable, nice sound and I'm just beginning to push it slightly more now that it's run in.
Agree that that it could do with some more power beneath 5k rpm but above that it's really lively and I am really loving taking it much futher up the rev range now that I can.
Good bits: - Nice and easy to ride, good for a starter like me - Light handling, minmal maintenance needed - Comfortable seat and position, even for someone 6'3" like me
Bad bits: - A bit vibey through the pegs at 7k rpm (irritatingly that is exact motorway cruising speed!) but it goes soon after - Can't fit aftermarket exhaust without losing the centre stand - Gear ratios are a bit close, seems like you're always having to change
But overall I'm loving the bike!
