I recently noticed an ad on e-bay where the seller mentioned that he also had a Givi fitting kit from a 600 Divvy for sale, so I have asked him about that. It is not yet advertised. He tells me that the kit came of his 93 Divvy, but that it was previously fitted to a 98 Divvy.
I know that the changes that were made in 1996 mean that the fitting kit that I salvaged from my 1995 bike won't fit onto my 1999 bike, so I am wondering how it is possible for a kit to fit a 93 bike and a 98 bike. The fitting instructions which I downloaded from Givi's website a few weeks ago refer to bikes from 96 onwards. Anyone got any ideas?
There was, I believe, an earlier version of the Divvy, but the only change that I know of at that point was to the fairing. Were there also changes to the frame/ exhaust supports? Is it possible that early and late bikes had the same arrangement of rear mounting points?
The only other legitimate explanation that I can think of is that the 98 bike was in fact a late-registered pre-96 bike.

The 97 bikes R reg had the newer fairing shape and grey side cover infills, but only one front disc brake. A year later they went to twin discs.
If its a mono rack it should fit on all of them. The back end plugs into the frame rails with expanding plugs. The front end uses the footrest mounts. I dont know about the Wing rack on the 600, but TBH I think they look too big for the bike.

Thanks CD.
No, its a Wingrack. There are three mounting points on the bike - the expanding plugs which you mention, a triangular bracket with a hole in it which is attached to the rear frame tube and the exhaust bolt (on the ear of the front footpeg plate.
The triangular bracket is a different size on the 99 and the 95 bikes, and the exhaust mounting seems to have moved too - there are three bolts in the Givi arm which attaches to that, and I can only get two engaged.
I hadn't realised that the front end changes and the rear end changes happened at different times. I thought that the whole lot went together.

Just an update in case anyone becomes interested in this question in the future ...
I found a copy of the instructions for Givi fitting kit Y211 on the internet. This is for 600 Diversions from 1991-95, and that satisfies me that the mounting points on the bike remained unchanged during this period.
For the sake of completeness, fitting kit Y335 is for Diversions from 1996 - 2002. If any one would like a PDF copy of either set of instructions, please PM me.

The mods could perhaps put the PDFs into the forum.
