I have a couple of sets of auxillary lights in the garage, but I don't know whether they are fogs or driving. Does anyone know where I can get a list of the codes which are stamped on the lens? I think that some of them will indicate the beam pattern.

Fogs have a wide fan shaped beam. Spots have a narrow (erm) spot beam. Rig them up to a battery and see how they look. Spots are handy along with main beam, but fogs on all the time will flatten your battery. The gennie is ok, but not exactly over-specced making 300 watts above 3000rpm to a max of 350 watts.
