Spent a bit of time scouting the e-bay tyre sellers today, as TDM will need new rubber in next few weeks. I like Michelin Pilot Road 2's which seem to be expensive compared to others, but I do like them. Cheapest pair I found on e-bay £226 delivered. I then thought I would get a comparative price from Protyre in Slough who quoted - £112.97 front and £121.82 rear - total £234.79 supplied, fitted on ride in basis, balance, disposal etc etc. Would cost me the extra £8.79 to ride to my usual fitter in Wantage and then I would have to help him Just goes to show it's still worth trying your local shop, have e-bay prices been rising steadily to match the High Street without us being aware of it ? Dave Ps Managed to get a new front for £50 delivered on e-bay, just hope it's not too far past it's sell by date (bankrupt stock apparently!)

I wouldnt worry about the tyre age too much, when I bought the Triumph, the tyres were from 1996 Don't worry, I have since changed them
