Hi everyone has anyone tried or heard of converting the throttle from twist action to a thumb control. Either as a kit form or would throttle from ATV quad bike fit? Due to road traffic accident, loss of movement in wrist front brake not a problem. Basically not much movement in wrist to operate throttle.
Thanks for any advice

No personal experience of modifications, but these guy's should know all the available options : www.nabd.org.uk/.......... though I too have limited mobility in my right wrist, due to an accident when in the flush of youth. So I can give one useful tip: Choose a bike with a short throttle action. This tends to be sportier rather than touring machines, but there are bikes around which are 'normal' but have relatively short throttle actions. Sit on a few different ones and test how far the twist-grip has to go to reach fully open. You ideally want something which doesn't require a second handful to fully open - it's more comfortable & therefore more secure & you feel safer riding it. HTH. DOH! Beaten to it by amorti ;D.

I have one of those but could never get on with it. A proper (not a twist lock) cruise control would be nice, but everything costs megabux and takes up lots of space.
