Was out on my xj 600 diversion last night when I came off it. First bike crash now part of the club. The bike seems fine mechanically but the bike fairing is all smashed. Was thinking about making it a naked bike and was wondering how easy this would be on the xj.

Sorry to hear of your spill !!! Thought about stripping my xj for ages & finally went for it w few weeks ago. So far the fairings, mounting bars, clocks, headlights, indicators & mirrors have gone !!! Replaced the fork seals & fork oil & a set of gaiters slipped on. A single speedo, bar end mirrors, neater indicators & headlight were put on with not much cost. Want to change the handlebars, do something with the backend & rims but it doesnt have to be all done at once !!! All prepped to paint matt black but dont know if thats wise yet To be honest I think it looks sweet & streetfighter-ish, & as I said not too much Bucks splashed out :-)

I thought it was 3 spills until you're part of the club?..... Much as it sticks in my throat, contact Teejayexc, he is currently trying to fleece as many people as he can trying to sell bits of his sons' now dead (but good condition) xj600n - he may have some parts left that you need for the conversion....... Hope you get back on two wheels again soon. Sorry to hear about your misfortune and bent pride and joy. Sorry to hear of your spill !!!
