Hi, my name is Vaughan. I live in a small coastal town called Port Elizabeth in South Africa. Ride is a black 2001 Divvy 900. Also belong to the local chapter of Ulysses. Age is 50 and I am enjoying growing old disgracefully. SA has superb roads and a healthy bike community. Port Elizabeth is in the Eastern Cape of SA and we have mainly open fast highways and country roads. Ideal for a Divvy, especially if you know how to ride her properly. I enjoy mountain passes the best as this is where the Divvy really sheds her lambs clothing and surprises most non-divvy riders. I have Michelin dual compound front tyre and sport rear and find that this combo works well. The front is really grippy with the soft compound outer and the rear hangs in there and starts sliding first, which is easier to control, so you find your limits easier. This is the first forum I have belonged to and I hope it will be enjoyable. Never posted a picture before so i hope it comes out. Hope to chat to all of you some time and I will be posting an article on a 2000km ride I did last year this time to Cape Town and back over numerous passes. Cheers............. Attachments:
