Yes, it's time for the OXON Run 2010. I'm sure it won't be such a chilly start as last year's . (Didn't I say this last year ;D ?) Leaving H Cafe at 10:30. Arrive in good time if you want a hearty warming breakfast . Find it here: www.hcafe.co.uk/directions.htmlThe run will be approx 95 miles, with the mandatory loo stops & a lunch stop. Finishing at The Volunteer near Wantage for 3:30 to 4:00pm: www.the-volunteer-inn.co.uk/ If you are likely coming along, please post below & I'll add you to the sign-up! Hi, what route does the Oxon run take you on? ROTFLMAO, now that's a good question ! (anyone, including Martin, know the answer?) ;D Hmm, lets see: We leave Fox's Diner, heading South on the A4074 to Wallingford, where we pick up the B4009 towards Streatley, onwards to Curridge & Newbury for a quick pit-stop at the cafe by the river. From there we pick up the A4 towards Hungerford, then onto Marlborough & take the A361 to Devizes for the lunch stop. After lunch we take the A342 towards Andover but we peel off onto some minor roads near Lugershall (subject to conditions) to arrive on the A343 towards Newbury, then a quick pit stop at Snelsmore Common & continue on the B4494 to Wantage & Grove, ending at the Volunteer. Probably .

Hi Martin Am I much mistaken, or is there no mention of this run on the main runs board ? No publicity is bad publicity (unless you are Tiger Woods) Also, any more talk of a practice run ? One has mornings off on 13th, 17th and 18th December if any good ? Dave

I arrived late for the 2007 run by around 10 mins due to me getting lost at Northampton, I went south on the M1 and ended up going through Milton Keynes instead of going north for 1 junction and heading along the A43. Like you, I had a good ride trying to reach the start. Picture on route.

I knew I would be late after going through Milton Keynes plus I needed fuel before the planned run so did'nt bother to rush (Bandit 1200+ Michelin Macadams+ wet roads+ high speed = disaster )
