Could do with some help here guys. I get a pins and needles sensation in my right hand after very few miles on my D9. There isn't any obvious vibration that I can discover - no buzzing in the mirror on that side, although because of the way the mirror is mounted into the same clamp that holds the brake lever, it does seem less rigid than the left mirror mounting, and it is not as steady as the lh one either. If I keep a loose hold on the bar for a few seconds the pins and needles sensation goes away. Now I know you're thinking I'm at fault here, but is doesn't happen when I swap bikes with a mate, and he feels it on mine. The sensation is similar to what you get after using a strimmer for a while, but it's not obvious until you realise you have the pins and needles. Bike has only7000 miles from new, never dropped ,front wheel is balanced ,carbs balanced. It just seems like there is some vibration on the rh side handlebar only (bar weights fitted in both ends of bars)- anyone got any ideas Thanks to all

Grease under the throttle grip tube can help. Also check the handlebar clamps are both tight. I have a pair of Rox anti vibe bar risers. They are so good that both mirrors are almost like the engine is switched off. Do be sure to get 7/8" x 7/8" or they'll send something to fit a Harley.

also check your front tyre - correct tyre pressure? Uneven wear? proud centre V?? I had a vibe on my right hand once until I changed the tyre even though it looked good and was resonabley new.
the thing about the pins and needles vibe is the right hand gets it everytime with me and is what I call my sensitve hand ( opening myself for many comments here - I never buy it flowers and take it out for meals anymore!!...I know... ;D)
My theory is....
The right hand ALWAYS has a TRUE grip on the bike so will feel any vibration build up 1st and you will naturaly not feel it in the left hand which you will be contantley shifting on and off grip so never allowing the pins and needles to build up - that's only my experience though and may not be the answer you want to hear as it will be a £100ish cure that might not cure you at all....
good luck

On my 900 the vibes are worse on the LH grip. I put it down to the throttle tube putting a bit more stuff between the glove and the metal. My 600 was the same.
I only had 2 real complaint on the D900 - vibes and carp screen. The Rox bar risers solved #1 one and the screen is a work in progress.

I used to get cramp and pins and needles in my right hand too. I changed my gloves which helped but I finally got rid of the problem with this £7 piece of plastic: www.scottoiler.com/thecrampbuster.aspOthers on the site have them too.
