This last few months, i,ve had harsh vibration, while driving, the engine has 60.000 miles up.
first of all
The swingarm has had new bearings, with the shock & linkage cleaned & new bearings, where needed.
New wheel bearings & cush drive bearing. Cush drive rubbers fine, as back wheel, arm & shock, out of a low milage D9.
Bevel box, changed. cleaned & greased.
Drive line checked, in good condition. Splines good ect
U Joint. i checked it the best i could, by rotating it, to see if there was any free play. Seems to be tight, through out its full rotation, up -down & side to side.
Casing was removed, from drive side of engine, all gears seem mark & chip free, will free move ment.
All engine mounts tight
All exhaust mounts = bolts tight
Right hand frame cradle tight
New clutch & springs
New neddle roller bearing that spins within the clutch.
The shaft, seems tight, & runs smooth, that the clutch bolts to
Cam chain, adjusted, seems to be half way down the ratchet, for adjustment.
I have noticed while the bike is sitting ticking over at normal running temp, a odd little thump, or maybe a little glitch, while at idil speed.
Not sure at what to check next.
Any one any thoughts, or might have seen the problem before.
The rev counter has went AWOL. Priced a new throttle censor, from Fowerls. £190, i think i might do without.
Any Ideas ??///
The bike is used 7 days a week, with full luggage, top box plus side boxs, plus luggage straped across the seat at times when needed.
. well looked after, never reved above 5 thou, only when needed. Oil changed between 1000, to 1600, depending on how rough, the engine = gearbox, & the amount of work the bikke has seen within those miles
If i can get the bike lifted, some way to check under the frame cradle, incase a engine mount might be cracked within the frame
After reading the reports on these bikes, always made me wonder what mileage, the engine would run to. hope fully i,m not going to find this out soon???////
