hallo, I am new to the forum just having bought a Divvy900s 1997. I am having to replace the fork seals, can anyone tell me what oil to use and how much in each leg, I have searched the forum and the oil choice varies, but i cannot find the capacity. would appreciate input. Tommo

I think the oil has to be filled to a specific distance below the fork top (150mm?) I believe with the spring in place. Someone with access to the manual will be along soon.
Having forgotten to buy fork oil when I had my forks off the bike, I used 20-50 engine oil expecting to change it in the near future. Its still in there and the bike handles just like always (lots of dive on the brakes etc). The cold viscosity is the same as the fork oil I was intending to use and it seems to be fine.
Another tip. Undo the fork tops with a tube spanner while the forks are on the bike. Loosen the top yoke clamps, but leave the bottom yoke tight. The fork tops should then unscrew nicely with a tube spanner. However, many sockets and ring spanners are under- cut so can slip damaging the top nut. Do the same when putting them back as the top yoke clamps can squeeze the fork top threads too tight for comfort.

Hi tommo Mr Haynes says
1997 on 441cc of oil 135mm from top of tube to oil level
Re assemble the forks without the springs pour in the specified amount of oil pump the forks at least 10 times to distribute the oil evenly. Then fully compress the fork tube into the slider then measure the oil level as above add or subtract oil until level is ok.Pull the tube up out of the slider as far as possible then install the spring with the closer wound coils at the top fit spacers ect Job done
