Hi Folks,
My Divvy seems to have sprung a leak from the right hand Hex bolt at the top of the oiler cooler. Replacement aluminum crush washers didn't fix it. Tried a bonded washer (with the rubber insert) and it still leaks.....
So I figure that the cooler probably has a wee crack in the right hex collar/ bolt ..... (the pipes look OK).... Have stared trolling E-bay and the internet for a replacement, but nothing doing so far. In the meantime I checked out the price of a new cooler.... £224 plus VAT...
So, I was thinking... It doesn't have to be a 900 Divvy cooler does it? So has anyone here got any ideas or better still experience of fitting a cooler from a different bike to a Divvy 900?
There is an oil cooler for a 600 divvy on E-bay, but will it fit a 900? Have also seen a cooler for the older XJ 900 model but the oil pipes I note, fit at the bottom rather than at the top... Could this one be turned upside down and fitted?
Any ideas welcome....! Thanks....

Hey thanks for that! I reckon you might have just become my hero!!! The size looks spot on.... Up till now I had been looking at this one cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=260437953057but I reckon its gonna be too big..... The one you posted looks just about right...... And for that price worth a go..... Have a few more places to ring / web sites to surf, but this looks the best one so far... Big Thanks for posting that !!!!!

Size wise the the cooler seems spot on, so I have bought it. I'll let you know how I get on with having it fitted when it arrives....

Hi there,
Have had the new oil cooler fitted... Its a bit smaller, and had to cut the heads of the oil pipes off, used the tubing that came with the cooler to plumb in the cooler using jubilee clips. Seems sound and no leaks... And no more awkward banjo bolts.....
I've kept the old cooler which may be of use to someone if they want to get it refurbished. It looks OK and is sound apart from the right hand hex collar head which must have a crack in it, though I can't see one....

The hex lugs crack and leak. If the crack is accessible you could grind it out and Lumiweld it. Its a sort of solder that works really well on aluminium, but wont stick to steel. If you leave a bolt in the hole the weld wont gum upthe threads. I've used the stuff to repair a crack in the bottom fork of my WP shock absorber. So far its done 3000 miles and still ok. See www.frost.co.uk/item_detail.asp?productID=8823&frostProductName=Lumiweld%20Kit%20(5%20rods)
